Overview
Thank you for agreeing to provide a testimonial for Miga! We’re so grateful to partner with you. Here is some more information on your upcoming recorded testimonial session.
You will be joined by Bethany from Miga over Zoom, but we’ll have you record the testimonials on your phone. We’ve included some tips for filming and some of the questions we’ll ask below. We can’t wait to chat with you soon!
Tips for filming
1. Aim for natural lighting
Try to film the video with natural lighting. Ideally, the light will be in front of you (so that you’re not backlit) and the sun isn’t so bright that you’re squinting.
2. Choose a simple background
A simple background is best— try to ensure there is very little on the walls behind you that could distract from what you’re saying.
3. Film vertically
Please record the testimonial vertically on your phone. Try to find a spot where you can comfortably rest your phone so you don’t have to worry about holding it the entire time.
4. Speak naturally
Speak to the camera the way you’d speak to a friend. Don’t read from a script or try to be too formal. Please be as specific as you can.
5. Dress simply
Wear neutral, solid colors that complement your skin tones. Blues and greens are okay as well. Do not wear stripes, checks, or other patterns.
6. Keep talking—we’ll edit later
If you say something you’re not happy with, don’t worry! Just take a pause and start over. We will edit the video later to include the best version of whatever you are trying to say.
